Though he learnt music for a year from Jiten Basumapary, he had to quit because of his studies. He can sing both western and classical. He loves to read—both novels and spiritual books. He is greatly inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. He has won prizes from ISKCON for bhajan competitions. He also won the prize for best singer at a state-level classical music competition for gandharva singing on All India radio (Guwahati). His hobbies include acting, writing essays and reciting poetry. Judges' Comments While Alisha wasn't too convinced, he had the approval of all the others.
